Shawn Mendes became a known face when he started posting song covers on Vine. After his stunning performances were seen by the artist managers, Andrew Gertler and Ziggy Chareton (Island Records A&R), it lead him to his first official deal with the record label. Since he entered Island Records, he became even more popular especially after the release of his debut single “Life of the Party.”

Shawn released his first Extended Play on July 28, 2014 by the name The Shawn Mendes EP.
However, his first official debut album was released on April 14, 2015 by Island Records. The album was named Handwritten and it contained a total of 12 tracks with a total running time of 39 minutes and 29 seconds.

Shawn stated that he avoids fatty foods and is strictly on low fat and low carb diet because of his goal to being completely shredded.
There’s no such thing like off-season or in-season for Shawn and that is why, he always emphasizes on importing the very much needed calories through protein diet instead of eating foods rich in carbohydrates.
Mendes eats a lot of veggies, eggs, meat, oat flakes and other kinds of foods which are important for proper muscle building.
